Another Catholic gay scandal erupts, this time in Vatican household

It looks like Pope Benedict really takes good care of his gentlemen while they are waiting. Reports have surfaced that a Vatican choir member, Thomas Chinedu Ehiem, was caught on tape by the police lining up male prostitutes for Antonio Balducci, who is a Gentleman of His Holiness. I was wondering what exactly a “Gentleman of His Holiness” is, and as it turns out it is an usher or “lay attendant to the pope and his papal household.”

As someone who went to Catholic school for twelve years I feel that I have the right to say that this stuff has really reached the point where you have to question why people still consider this religion to be something they can embrace. When you consider the goings-on in the “papal household,” even after all of the previous revelations about widespread homosexual abuse of children, where does it end?

We have many problems as a society, but perhaps the biggest obstacle that we have to healing and making things right is our tendency to cling to failed institutions. This publication is certainly not about advocating or disparaging any religion; we are just reporting the facts. But you are what you do, not what you say, so, when it comes to this group, believers may want to ask themselves some hard questions. And perhaps refuse to accept any Papal invitations that may be forthcoming.
