Childress won’t pressure Favre

During this rather slow season in the sporting arena, little things that are really not all that newsworthy wind up making the news. What can you say, we sports junkies need our fix, and the mention of certain names will invariably attract interest and stimulate some conversation. With that in mind, let us share a hot, breaking virtual non-story that should be of interest to NFL fans.

Minnesota Viking coach Brad Childress took a trip to Mississippi after attending the NFL combine, which was held in Indianapolis, to chat with his star signal called and see how he was healing up after suffering some injuries in the NFC Championship game against the Saints.

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Childress said that the two men didn’t discuss Favre’s plans for next season. The future hall-of-famer appeared in the “Tonight Show” on Thursday and said, as you might expect, that he had not decided whether or not he will be returning to the field for the 2010 NFL season.
