Lawless ATF seizes 30 toy guns from Cornelius, Oregon business owner

In the latest example of the lawless  actions by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, a shipment of 30 Airsoft toy guns was seized from Brad Martin, a Cornelius, Oregon business owner.  Special Agent Kelvin Crenshaw claims the toys could be  retro-fitted into dangerous weapons, a claim that Brad Martin has characterized as “absolutely preposterous”.  And Martin would be correct.  These are toy air guns that shoot plastic BBs.  They have no firing-pin or any other mechanism that would ever allow them to be converted into anything remotely resembling a real firearm.  Martin expressed anger over the loss of money since the BATFE is promising to destroy the shipment.  And he also said it was a waste of taxpayer money to use all of this manpower over supposedly “dangerous” toy guns.

But what about the violation of his rights and the fact that the BATFE acted totally outside of the law?  There is no law or statute that gave the agency the authority to do this.  These are not firearms and the BATFE has absolutely no jurisdiction over toys.  This unconstitutional, criminal agency just acted arbitrarily, as they do routinely.  Where is the due process?  What happened to the 5th Amendment?  These ATF thugs ought to be prosecuted for theft.  If some bureaucrat can just decide arbitrarily that someone’s actions are unacceptable, and destroy his property with no due process of law, we have lost all connection with the ideals of a free society that we inherited from this country’s founders.  It’s about time we stand up to this tyranny, disband all unconstitutional federal agencies, and take our freedom back.
